Max Pl
Max Pl is one of the most refined posts in Entreq’s Max range. Designed for use with the Corepoint units supplied with every Delphius and Primer Core cable, Max Pl adds Platinum to the Tungsten base shared across the Max range, bringing a substantial gain in resolution, stability and the overall presence of the music to any Corepoint-equipped cable.
Few materials have the singular qualities of Platinum, and few are as deliberately deployed in audio. Max Pl pairs Platinum with the Tungsten base that runs through the Max range, producing one of the most refined posts we make, designed for use with the Corepoint units supplied with every Delphius and Primer Core cable.
A substantial step up in the Max range
Max Pl is part of the upper tier of the Max range, sitting alongside Max Pa as one of the two Platinum-or-Palladium posts that mark a significant further gain in performance. Where Max T, Max S and Max Ti each lift the performance of the system audibly, Max Pl brings a step change in resolution, stability and the presence of the music making it a clear and considered investment for systems ready to take advantage of what it offers.
Characteristics
The Max Pl continues the hierarchy from the Max Pa, and in our reference system it takes everything that post does further. Even more air, and a deeper, wider, taller sound stage — it opens up the whole register, fleshing out an already extraordinary performance to the point where removing it from the system becomes almost impossible. This is our take, formed in our reference system. Every system responds in its own way, though we suspect the difficulty of removing it may prove universal.
The Max post architecture
Like every Entreq Max post, Max Pl contains a specific configuration of materials housed in a wooden body, designed to influence the electromagnetic behaviour at the reference point of a Corepoint unit. The wooden body is chosen for its electromagnetic neutrality, allowing the active materials inside the post to do their work without interference from the housing.
Compatible with Corepoint, Ground Boxes and Tuss Kit
Max Pl was developed alongside the Corepoint architecture supplied with our Delphius and Primer Core cables, and is equally suitable for use with our ground boxes and Tuss Kit. In all applications, Max Pl simply screws onto the threaded post of the host product.
Hand-built in Sweden
Max Pl is hand-built at our facility in Sweden, using a wooden body and a specific configuration of materials including Tungsten and Platinum. Given the rarity of Platinum in our most advanced applications, the composition has been developed and refined through extensive testing on our reference system to make the most of every contribution it brings.
