Technologies

Handmade in Denmark since 1979

THE R-SERIES ARRETÉ AMT TWEETER

The finest tweeter Audiovector has ever designed now sports an Integrator Acoustic Lens, which improves dispersion, impulse response and integration with the midrange driver. In combination with their SEC treble concept, it contributes to deliver a wider, deeper, higher and more natural soundstage that highlights advanced detail.

CARBON FIBER TERMINAL PLATE

On Arreté models, the binding posts are mounted on a carbon fibre terminal plate. The use of carbon fibre eliminates any interaction with the rear mounted crossover components, resulting in higher detail and a lower noise floor.

AUDIOVECTOR CARBON DRIVERS

Audiovector's new high-tech membrane consists of cross woven carbon fibre sandwiched with artificial wood resin. This is the foundation of a more dynamic and detailed sound from the new titanium voice coil drive units in the R-series.

SEC Soundstage Enhancement Concept

SEC technology results in wider dispersion, lower compression and a large, open soundstage in all three dimensions. This concept was developed by Audiovector to create a more natural, detailed and articulate performance that brings the listener closer to the music.

FREEDOM GROUNDING®

This proprietary Audiovector technology eliminates any possible motional feedback distortion in the housing baskets of the drive units. A dedicated separate crossover tailors the feedback signals to perfection and route them to the ground pin in the wall or the mains distributor. This in turn allows for more detail and accuracy.

In short: A more authentic musical, emotional experience.

A SOLID PLINTH WITH IMPROVED AIRFLOW

All R-series floor-standing loudspeakers make use of a tilted plinth. This can avoid standing waves within the cabinet vertically and improve the overall aesthetic appeal of the speaker with an elegant ‘lift’ to the appearance. The plinths have a built-in steel spring that supports the spikes in order to decouple the speakers from the mass of the floor. The result is a more articulate and exact sound.

NO STANDING WAVES

The uniquely designed R cabinets – with their curved shape – avoid distortion from standing waves. They are made from hardwood HDF, laminated with acoustical glue. In pairs, the cabinets are presented in carefully matched wood veneers or custom painted automotive finishes. To keep the reproduction fast and dynamic, Audiovector uses in-house developed Nanopore damping material: A perfect recipe for natural sound.

DESIGNED, DEVELOPED AND MANUFACTURED BY AUDIOVECTOR

All Audiovector drivers are designed in-house and hand built to the highest standards. Their drivers use distortion free titanium voice coils, carbon sandwich membranes, magnesium/aluminum chassis and strong, dedicated ferromagnetic magnets. This exacting use of innovation and advanced technologies in Audiovector's drive units results in their renowned superior dynamic and detailed performance.

INNOVATIVE MEMBRANES

The membranes are made of sandwiched carbon, fibre-glass and artificial wood resin. They are light, stiff and extremely well dampened for a fast and uncoloured sound. A special, patented copper cap further reduces distortion.

DYNAMIC FEED FORWARD FILTERS

Since 1979 Audiovector has only used carefully selected low-resistance, high-precision coils and capacitors in their advanced cross-over circuits. Highly efficient and easy to drive, Audiovector's speakers are the perfect match for a wide variety of amplification from solid state to valve designs.

NCS CRYOGENIC TREATMENT

In Arreté models, the “seven-nines” copper is subjected to a special cryogenic deep-freeze treatment, which realigns the molecules of the internal wiring, cross-overs, tweeter membranes and terminals. Thanks to reduced resistance and distortion, the result is breath-taking clarity and effortless musical coherence.
