IQ600 Class J Amplifier
The MKIV’s brute force comes from the newly developed IQ600 Class J amplifier. The patented Class J technology represents a quantum leap in amplifier design, combining 99% efficiency with extraordinary bass control.
Class J evolves PWM technology by integrating advanced multi-level feedback with an intelligent controller. It modulates supply voltage and output switching frequency in real time based on the input signal’s frequency and amplitude. This intelligence increases thermal headroom, improves bass response, and enhances dynamic power.

Power Supply and Continuous Power

Optical Distortion Limiting (ODL)
The patented ODL circuit fully protects against distortion without interrupting the audio signal path.
Using an optical coupler, the input signal is duplicated; one copy proceeds untouched to amplification, while the other is converted to light and compared with amplifier output. If distortion risk is detected, ODL adjusts input power instantly for distortion-free sound.
SLAPS Technology
SLAPS (Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System) dramatically increases subwoofer efficiency and ultra-low frequency capability.
Built symmetrically, SLAPS integrates identical suspension components to move identically in both directions. Pneumatic coupling between SLAPS and the active driver DBXI/MagmaX overcomes limitations of conventional closed or ported designs, allowing deep, dynamic, and hard-hitting bass without compression.
MAGMA Driver and TCT Technology
The MAGMA driver in the MKIV12 converts electrical energy into physical movement with superior mechanical construction, featuring heavily over-engineered components.
It incorporates patented TCT (Turbine Cooled Transducer) technology — a fixed turbine vane in the magnet gap that forces air to rotate in a vortex, dramatically increasing cooling efficiency.
