Equipped with a 44.1kHz/16bit dedicated input (INPUT 1) with a unique asynchronous Digital Audio receiver to achieve the best compact disc playback
Equipped with a unique asynchronous jitterless Digital Audio receiver (FPGA) to perform high-precision D/A conversion that is always faithful to the sound source regardless of the performance of the transport or player connected. By temporarily storing data in the memory circuit, the clock difference with the sending side is absorbed and the PLL is completely eliminated. The high-quality master clock generated by its own crystal sends pure data without jitter to the DAC IC. It does its best to play compact discs, which are still the mainstream source.
Adopts a power shutdown system for inactive blocks that dramatically reduces the noise floor
When playing a CD at INPUT 1, the power of other PLL/USB blocks is shut down. When the PLL circuit is in use, the power of other FPGA/USB blocks is shut down. When the USB input is in use, the power of the FPGA block is shut down. By shutting down the power of the inactive blocks at the same time, the influence of harmonic noise wraparound is prevented and the dynamic noise floor is dramatically reduced. In addition, the USB input is powered by a high-quality dedicated regulator built into the sd2.0B main unit, blocking the noise loop with the previous stage.
Non-NFB full discrete balanced amplifier
The output amplifier is equipped with Soulnote's traditional Non-NFB full discrete balanced amplifier, which boasts wide bandwidth and high speed. By configuring an ideal balanced circuit with perfectly symmetrical hot/cold from the DAC IC output, a delicate and majestic dynamic range is obtained. It conveys the energy and expression of music to the fullest.
In addition to optical/coaxial input, it also has a USB input (INPUT 6). Supports all sampling frequencies of various sources
Supports sampling frequencies from 22.05 to 192 kHz. In addition to two coaxial and two optical systems, it also has a USB input (Audio Class 1.0/2.0 rear panel switching). It meets the needs of a wide range of users with high sound quality.
High-precision current output DAC + passive I/V
The DAC IC uses Burr-Brown's PCM1792A, which has 24-bit precision and large current output, in L/R dual. In order to make the most of this large current output, we have constructed the simplest I/V converter using high-precision resistors. Combined with the non-NFB full discrete balanced amplifier in the latter stage and the separate power supply housing design, we have achieved the ultimate S/N ratio. We have achieved the subtle nuances of the performer and a wide sound stage that spreads endlessly.
Uses a separate housing power supply unit that uses a powerful and generous 400VA transformer
The D/A converter unit that handles line level is equipped with a large-capacity R-core transformer of 400VA, which seems excessive at first glance, in a separate housing to achieve the highest level of S/N ratio. Combined with a fast recovery diode and a non-feedback high-speed power supply with a large number of low-doubled foil small-capacity electrolytic capacitors connected in parallel, we have built a generous regulation for each stage. It expresses a quiet yet powerful sound.
