konNET DDC - our new member of the konNET series, a streaming transport that will accept State-of-the-Art Diretta Network Audio Protocol and Roon RAAT protocol (Roon Bridge).

Diretta is a proprietary protocol that is aimed for purified audio transmission over network. Please note that you will need a matching Diretta Host to fully utilize the Diretta operation.

konNET DDC will support the latest Diretta DDS (DDS) mode of streaming which brings Diretta to a new high level. DDS employ RAW socket method for the transmission of audio packets, bypassing unnecessary traditional network layers found in most other audio protocols.

The unit has one RJ45 network input and three outputs:

- One USB Audio output (connects your USB DAC)

- One SPDIF output (75-ohm Coax BNC) which support up 384kHz sample rate

- Two AES/EBU output supports both single and dual wire operation

- Single wire operation:

a. support up to 384kHz sample rate

b. Both output the sample STEREO data

- Dual wire operation:

a. Support up to 384kHz sample rate

b. Each Left and Right output carries MONO data for its

corresponding channel

The SPDIF and AES/EBU outputs are implemented by our in-house design using FPGA technology, everything re-clocked before processing, final result is output with lowest possible jitter.

Multi-layered PCB is crucial for high-speed digital design.

The main streaming engine is all done by our customized Linux core with Real-Time Kernel. All program codes are compiled and linked with

optimization for audio reproduction.

The konNET DDC has a LPS (linear power supply) built-in so you don’t have to worry about future PSU upgrade.

The PSU is a discrete UltraQuiet design with low radiation encapsulated toroidal transformer.
